Cheddar’s Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

It's a simple restaurant with traditional dishes at a reasonable price. There's only one thing on the menu I was able to pin point as a unique item: honey buttered croissants. We had 2 orders of these! It was perilous! Haha. The fish dishes were on the salty side and so were the baked beans. Not sure if there was a salt accident in the kitchen or not. The service was decent though, despite the previous reviews. I guess they were nervious about the service because they kept coming by our table saying sorry for the wait. It was a little slow but it was a full house so I don't blame them.

Ate dinner here on a Friday evening. We were seated immediately and our waitress quickly came to the table for our appetizer order and drinks. Of course we had to try the onion rings- great choice! The four of us all ordered different entrees and all felt the food was delicious. The service was attentive but not overly so. We took our time and enjoyed the company and food. We felt like the menu choice was large and the prices were reasonable. We will come here again!

I've been to the other location on Roosevelt blvd many times and did not even realize this new location had opened until driving by recently, so I decided to stop in and give it a try. The decor and feel within the restaurant is great. It's clean, modern and inviting. We sat at a booth in the bar area and were told by the hostess that it was a first come first served section. The server took way too long to come by and take our drink orders. We were almost ready to give up and leave but I wanted to give them a chance. So I ordered the Frozen Texas swirl margarita, which is huge and for the price ($3.50) I can't complain at all. For my meal, I decided to *finally* try chicken and waffles. I've been wanting to try it for a while and at last, I took the plunge. Unfortunately, it wasn't as great as I was expecting, just an average serving of a large waffle with fried chicken and powdered sugar on top. In the past, I've tried the vegetable plate and the spasagna (spaghetti lasagna fried mix) which were both good and the serving size was generous, so I will give a thumbs up on that one Overall, the server took an excessively long amount of time to continue refilling drinks and checking up on us during our whole experience. I would not say the service was top notch, but because the food is decent, drinks are above average and the prices are pretty cheap in comparison to other competitors nearby, I still like this Cheddars and would go back again.

The portions are a nice size, the food is cheap, and the service has always been good. You may like it but I don't get this place. It's very nice inside, almost Hawaiian or tropical themed yet the menu is pretty all over. Fried chicken, ribs, tacos etc. It has a little of everything, which is good, however it's all just "all right". The honey butter croissants they are famous for are only served complimentary with their salads. I don't know if this is policy, but the 5 times I've been there (someone else bought, otherwise I would not have visited with such frequency) they don't just refill the drink, they take the cup with them and bring it back refilled. I'm not very comfortable with that, I never trust that's my same cup.

First of all the service was absolutely great. This was my first time eating at Cheddar's and I see I won't be a stranger. I'm new to the Tampa Bay area, while I was running errands, I met a nice woman who invited me to lunch. Our first choice was closed on Mondays so she suggested Cheddar's. The waitress wish I could remember her name was a doll. My dining companion and I started off with the Triple Treat Sampler which comes with loaded potato skins, chicken tenders and Wisconsin cheese bites, yum! I ordered the Monte Cristo, was good. But what sealed the deal for me is when the manager came to the table and asked how was everything, I told him it was my first visit and he surprised me with fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, was a great visit from start to finish and that's why I gave them 5 stars!!!!

Cheap food, great drinks, how can you complain?I love getting their combo plates, usually settle with the ribs and chicken tenders. But I've had their other dishes and it's a lot of food! I tried their new mac n cheese and it was alright, so if you're looking for a cheesy fix then go with the broccoli cheese casserole instead. I wish they were open later so I wouldn't go to Chili's and Applebee's out of late night desperation.

First time at this location on park blvd in pinellas park. Would go 3 1/2 stars 4 stars for ambience 4 stars for prices 3 for very few veggie friendly foods. All sides have some form of meat products I ordered the salmon and it was ok. Had a Long Island iced tea and again it was just ok. Six others ordered burgers and seemed to enjoy. Not gourmet food by any means but ok when you just gotta eat a quick meal. Along the lines of Applebee's.

Think a less expensive version of Chili's..... An abundant menu, but nothing is that phenomenal that you're craving it the next day. I typically order the you pick 2 combo and get the bowl of chicken tortilla soup and a half a club sandwich. Both are solid choices. I also like their spinach and artichoke dip, but no need to add on the extra calories unless there is a table full of people to share them with.

I don't understand why they are busy. I prefer Friday's and apple bees better for family style restaurant.

The food is great - but the service leaves much to be desired. We've been to this location a couple of times, and both times they have messed up my order. With super sensitive food allergies, I have to be careful with what goes on my plate. Cheddars by default adds butter on to almost everything you order, so if you are watching calories be careful! The kitchen was slow to correct my food when it was incorrectly prepared.

I have been to the other cheddars in the Tampa Bay Area many times and I have loved the restaurant. I have not had a good experience at this Cheddars once. The food is not up to the same standards and neither is the service. I highly recommend the restaurant but at a different location. I gave this one 4-5 chances and every time was disappointed.

Food is ok not much different than a apple bs or chilies. I would say if you want a nice cheep place to eat or drink thin this is your place!!

I've been to this location twice and I am trying to not include my thoughts on the location in Clearwater (on Roosevelt)- I chose to review this location as opposed to the other because it is more fresh on my mind. I enjoy it a lot. The atmosphere is wonderful (love the fans)...the wait staff are usually polite and helpful, maybe more on the overly helpful side if anything. Prices are fair and have that Southern-fried style that is similar to Cracker Barrel (country fried this and that, chicken and waffles- which is no longer on the menu). The first time I went, I ate off my my friends' plates (a poorer-than-usual time in my life) and they brought out biscuits and honey which were superb. The second time, I actually ordered something for myself, which was the citrus miso salmon. Everything was cooked to perfection, flavor was great. And it was under $10! But here, you get what you pay for. In the middle of the night, my stomach was already hungry for breakfast. Oh well- I'm trying to watch my weight, anyway, and it's refreshing not to forced with an oversized portion that could lead to overeating. I choose this place to meet with people because of its price, convenient location, and variety of fare- if you want healthy, they have it, but if you just want good old fashioned comfort food, they have it too. However, it doesn't have anything that really stands out from other places. It is a chain, and chains tend to be marginalized like that. But I have a feeling I will be returning sometime later this year. :)

This was the second time I'd tried, I had a very bad experience the first time, but this time was much better. I did go to the newest restaurant in the area, which may have been the difference. A bunch of us went there after the Pinellas Pepper Fest to enjoy some food and a drink and I was very unsure about what to expect, considering how bad my first experience was. The server was very kind and dealt very well with the seven of us. I ordered the Jalapeno Burger and so did three others and asked for it to be cooked medium. To my surprise the burger came out medium and was actually very good and juicy. I also ordered a sangria margarita swirl that several others on the table tried a sip of and all of us really enjoyed it. After this experience I will be back and bring other friends along with me.

Don't waste your time on this one--drive to the one in Clearwater. Food was cold and undercooked. Waitress was not attentive.

I have been to this restaurant three times now and I honestly can not say whether or not I like it. The food has been so mixed that it leaves me confused as to whether or not the chef(s) can cook. Here is what I have gathered so far: Amazing: -Honey Butter Croissants Good: -Asian Salad (beware of adding extra dressing, it will make it too sweet) -Ultimate Nachos -Chicken Tenders -Lynchburg Lemonade (alcoholic drink) Sometimes Good: -BBQ Chicken Salad (one trip it wow'd me, the other it disappointed) Okay: -Ribs (very dry) -Buffalo Chicken Wrap (bland, very bland) BAD: -Braised Beef Pot Roast - did not even look like beef, weak light brownish clear gravy, almost inedible -Fried Spasagna (very weird, not our thing) -Texas Frozen Strawberry Swirl (HUGE drink for $3.50, but it is so awful you will leave it sit on the table. Mine was extremely sour and tart and had almost no strawberry in it) See what I am talking about? At the last meal I couldn't drink my Texas Strawberry Swirl and my husband couldn't eat his Pot Roast. We ended up ordering the Chocolate Chip cookie just to fill him up (I forgot to mention that above, but it really isn't worth mentioning. If you want an amazing dessert cookie cross the road to BJ's). Service has also been mixed but more towards the poor side. The waitress we last had was an airhead and you had to actually show her on the menu what you wanted because when you said it she looked at you like a deer in headlights. I even had to make eye contact with her when we wanted our check because she was standing in the middle of the floor playing with her hair and not paying attention. The main reason we have been back to Cheddars is because of the cheap prices and the few good items mixed in. After our last visit I think it will be awhile before we venture back again.

Let me tell you, great and delicious food portions, yummy adult beverages at a very reasonable price...no doubt about it...now I know why this parking lot is always so full! We had the Buffalo Chicken tenders, which were spicy hot, perfect for my fiance, and I had the chicken pot pie, which was yummy and had a nice fluffy crust. Onion rings were the starter and there was plenty! We chose to bring some home so we could eat our dinner. Maui cocktail I highly recommend!

So much better than the Clearwater location, there were a lot of tables open and we had no wait time while they patiently waited for me to finish a business call that I had to take and my guest that was on the way. I ordered the Monte Cristo and was like, welp guess my tummy will hurt later but at least it will be good! Shockingly it didn't upset my stomach later which is what I experienced when I ate the same thing at the Clearwater location on Ulmerton. My mom was satisfied with her meal which was the New Orleans pasta. It tasted exactly like a dinner she made for me when I was pregnant. The server did a wonderful job and on a previous occasion when I was here with a lot of my family to celebrate my birthday and another time my mom's birthday the server did an excellent job and had such an awesome personality it added to our dining experience in a positive way which was great since we were there celebrating birthdays. I do wish they had healthy options that taste great and would be more vegan friendly. I did order broccoli as my side and it was very tasty. Overall, for both our meals of two adults and my daughter who had a kids meal it came to $24 which was a great price in my book. Most restaurants bring out bread while you are waiting for your meal and there was no bread here, but that is okay. It's nice to go out and not break your pocket on a random weekday evening. My experience here makes me want to avoid their Clearwater Ulmerton Rd location like the plague due to the ridiculous wait time no matter when you go.

Went here for a late dinner with friends and was pleasantly surprised. For a chain, this place does pretty well. As you may have guessed by now, I avoid chains but wasn't left with much a choice due to the late hour. The ambience is nice and our server was as good as they get. I got the grilled baja chicken and while the chicken was cooked well, the rice and beans were average. We got their famous honey butter croissants for the table and it was delicious. I may make another trip just to have the croissants.

It seems by the ratings this establishment has a lot to be desired for. I came here to leave a 3 rating because there is no WiFi. This poses a problem to me as an internet guy. The food is great for the value and service, damn near five star. Ok ill leave a 4 star for lack of WiFi presence during working lunches and dinners with clients or even at the bar $$ (hint hint Mr. Management, bigger tips, happier staff, happier customers).

We sat at the Bar to watch the Bucs lose to the Packers. The bartender was nice and provided good service. I ordered the ribeye steak. It was very reasonably priced and cooked the correct temperature. The steak was tasty. It seems like good competition to Appleby s but less expensive. I will go back.

The food and service was awesome. I got chicken tenders and fries. The chicken was juicy and the crust was perfect. Best chicken texts I've had in a long time. The fries were cooked just the way I like them. My coleslaw was bland unfortunately. My boyfriend got a bacon cheeseburger and it massive!! He thought it was delicious.

This was my first time visiting Cheddars, and I have to give them four stars just for their service. All the servers had a sense of humor and were prompt in taking our orders and getting us out the door in time for a doctor's appointment. Everything on the menu is fairly cheap yet tasty. The good: Definitely try their Honey butter croissants. 3 for $2.49 straight out of the oven! So good! -their onion rings are deliciously crispy and come in a large portion for only $3.99 -The monte cristo was like a turkey and ham sandwich in a doughnut! Interesting. -They have drinks and cocktails at decent prices served all day. Their specialty drink, the painkiller, is rimmed with toasted coconut and limited to 2 per person. Tells you something...haha The bad... -DON'T get apples/yogurt as a side...it is not very good...unless maybe I got a bad batch. .. -Not really the place to get a steak either, if that's what you're craving for...

  • Dana S.

So the first time I went here, the service was great! I ordered the onion rings as an app, and the monte cristo sandwich. It was pretty delicious but really filling, and I loved the raspberry sauce it came with. The portions are really big here and the prices are pretty good. The server refilled our drinks so fast, which I was amazed by and my bf ordered the new orleans pasta but got marinara sauce instead of the cajun alfredo and he loved it. We went back the next night and service wasn't that great. I tried the steak and fried shrimp combo and the steak was so bland and small. I didnt know what to expect but it wasnt anything special. We ordered the chicken fingers for an app and it wasn't that good. My bf ordered the new orleans pasta and asked for the marinara sauce instead of the alfredo again but they didn't give him any when he first got his meal and he had to wait a long time for them to bring him sauce and they just ended up making it again because it got cold while he was waiting for marinara. They gave me some free honey butter croissants which were delicious but service the second time around and food was just eh. I'll go here again to try other stuff but so far it's just okay.

Brandon was really disappointed that they got rid of the grilled catfish dish and our waitress mentioned that a lot of people had been complaining about that so maybe that would be a good item to bring back onto the menu. I had the potato soup which was very very good. I'm always searching for somewhere with potato soup as good as O'Charleys but i never seem to find anywhere... I would say this was a close 2nd though. The other two enjoyed there meals, and the service was pretty decent as well. We came later at night around 10 so it wasn't too busy and our waitress brought us tons of drinks. Sweet tea after sweet tea rolled up at the table like we were dehydrated or something haha

Again, I am more than satisfied. This is one of those places where you go to eat and still feel satisfied after you get the check. Our server "t" was excellent! Attentive and always smiling.

  • Thuyen B.

I guess for the price, it's good. Ordered the croissants as an app because I saw on some other reviews that they were good. And they were! I ordered the New Orleans pasta and it was ok. Nothing exceptional, but again...for the price it was good! My son and nephew had the kid's meals..chicken fingers and fries. And they were mediocre. Service was ok. They were kind of busy, but at least she was prompt with drink refills and our check. Might go back if we are in the area and try some other menu items. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.

While enjoying our dinner a cockroach ran out from under my daughter's napkin! While the manager took care of the meal we left immediately. Gross

I finally found a restaurant that makes the "holy grail" of comfort foods: The Monte Cristo! It was crafted to perfection. It seems like the service issues from opening have been worked out (it was notably good). The interior is very nice, and the prices are very good. All of our food was outstanding in both quality and taste. The Monte Cristo was, without exaggeration, the best one I have had in 20+ years. The only issue I observed is that the stone flooring in the entire area near the kitchen is greasy, almost slimy, from all the foot traffic in and out. I was a bit put off by the mere 3-star "OK" rating, but I think that should start trending upwards. My first time at Cheddars, but not my last!

  • Dianna B.

Stopped in tonight, and I will say that service is QUICK. So quick you don't even have time to check the menu before your waiter is there asking if you want an App. OY! May I please have a moment to look? Ok.. thanks. Anyway.. Once I was able to look at the menu, I decided to order the edamame, and it was as I expected, though they did offer dipping spices, which were pretty tasty. Our meals that were ordered were surprisingly large.. well my friends was anyway. I ordered off the 7 below 700 menu, I got the parmesan crusted steak, and while it was tasty, I wished they'd served the steak and salad on seperate plates. A bloody steak does not pair well with your bleu cheese salad dressing. However, the shrimp and chicken fingers plate? The serving on that was GIGANTIC. 2/3rds of it ended coming home and becoming a meal for my friend's wife. The shrimp and chicken were all very moist and flavourful.

Stopped in here soon after opening and was impressed by the friendly staff and servers. Food here was of impressionable quality, with entrees loaded with food for only $7-10 dollars....not bad. Great bar area and interior design is exceptional for a medium priced restaurant. Definitely a class act here.

My husband and I went here for lunch. The croissant light and airy with the flavor of melted honey butter. The service was good and they quickly refilled our drinks of strawberry lemonade, which was very good because it had real strawberries in the lemonade. For our entrée we had the Country style chicken fried chicken. My chicken was not as hot (heat not spice) as my husband's but it was still good. I had the loaded baked potato and green beans (had a sweet taste) beans should be savory not sweet. The baked potato was small but it was cooked perfectly. My husband's sides was a loaded baked potato and streamed broccoli. He said that the broccoli had a savory flavor and the baked potato was good but his potato was larger than what I had. My overall experience was good. We will come back to eat but not too soon.

The only reason I won't flat line this review is because the wait staff and manager tried to make things better. I order 1/2 rack baby back ribs sauce on the side, broccoli cooked through (specific dietary need I don't have the ability to swallow al dente broccoli), and coleslaw. I made sure that the waiter understood my request and watched as he added it to my ticket. The server was fast and had a great personality (Brandon). The broccoli was so incredibly raw there was no way I could eat it. Brought it to our waiter's attention. He offered to have it redone. Since I have limited capacity to eat I said no, but wanted him to know that his instructions to the cook was not followed. He thanks me and said he'd let the manager know. I should have took a bite out of the ribs before he walked away. It was like they had just been taken out of the refrigerator. They were ice cold. We stopped another wait person and he went and got our waiter. The waiter asked if he could have the manager come to the table. The Manager (Wendy) was excellent. Apologies were made for the quality of the food and an offer to completely redo the dish was made. I opted for a hamburger patty on a plate, just because at this point I had no more desire to try anything else. She handled getting the food replaced. Assured us that training and discussion would be held with the kitchen staff. Although it was a disappointing evening for dinner; I do have to give kudos to the dining room staff. They handled themselves well under pressure.

1st time at Cheddars. I found that the service was very good. Our waitress was very knowledgable and really friendly! Nice to have someone that seems to truly enjoy what they do. She also kept up with my refills very well. I had the "New" Country Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. It was on top a slice of toast and covered in gravy. I ate it all! The hand battered onion rings appetizer was a large portion for $3.99. Very tasty flavor and the ranch and onion ring sauces were nice. I think I will be back. Id like to try other menu items. Our server Jeani was great! Ask for her!

I'm used to love Cheddars! Their buffalo wings are normally really great but I recently had a horrible experience. I started biting into my chicken and guess what! It's not fully cooked. So the manager apologize and took it of my tab but that was not the end of it. I had a stomach pain later that day and could not sleep all night because I had eaten raw chicken! I was so sick and I swear you never get me to eat here again! I know the manager was very nice but never will you be able to get me to eat their food. It's sad because I would eat here all the time and rave about it but they need to lean to hire a reliable consistent cook in the kitchen. Serving uncooked food is a big NO NO! Be careful.

Stay away from this location of Cheddars Pinellas Park Fl ...rude staff and awful food, drive to CLEARWATER you'll be glad you did, unless you want a 35 minute wait for an appetizer and raw chicken...... After 4 tries we gave up on this location, beware.

Quick seating, no reservations, friendly waiter. We had the sampler, which can easily shared with four people. Nice. As our main course we had Asian chicken salad which was gigantic and looked like a pagoda. Too much to finish so it came home in a doggie box. I had the Louisiana Cajun pasta which was spicy ( which I like ) and very good. If your in the area, stop in. You won't be disappointed.

So good that it will give you a heart attack. No really. Was just there this weekend and ended up having to call 911 for a family member who thought they were having a heart attack. Don't worry they weren't (but maybe they were just so hyped up about Cheddars it just felt like one?!) Was already a fan of the older, established location in Largo. Who can say no to those buttery croissants they make? Plus you get Soooooo much for your money. You can't go wrong with a restaurant that states it's Happy Hour Every Hour or has a drink called the Pain Killer that they limit you to only 2 at a time. I'm a fan of their giant stack of onion rings and their chicken pot pie! I will be putting this restaurant in my casual dining rotation, especially for their giant drinks that are only $3.50. I think if I had a choice between BJs across the street or Cheddars, from now on it'll have to be Cheddars.

It's quite a bummer to go into a restaurant that is all lit up outside, without any hours posted anywhere and they say, "uh, we closed 30 minutes ago". Do they just close whenever they feel like it? Do they leave the stupid light on outside so you pull out of traffic into their parking lot because they don't care how much of your time you blow on figuring out if they are open or not?!! Boo on you Cheddars!

  • Heather M.

I'm so glad that I do not have to travel to Clearwater to go to Cheddars anymore! What a great alternative to Applebee's and Chili's. It's fairly new so it's clean and updated inside. I like how the bar is separate from the restaurant. I think it helps with the noise level. I always order the same thing and it never disappoints. I get the veggie plate. It comes with a side salad, four sides, and a croissant. I get the side house salad with the balsamic vinegarette and it's always fresh. The soft buttery croissant comes out with the salad and it literally melts in my mouth. The four sides that get are the red beans and rice, baby carrots, green beans, and broccoli cheese casserole. The red beans and rice also has sausage in it and it has just enough spice. The baby carrots are tender and sweet. The green beans are never soggy and are full of flavor. The broccoli cheese casserole is perfect because it's not too cheesy or dry. It's scrumptious! The service is always great. One day, I'm going to try one if those fancy alcoholic drinks where there is a limit in how many you can have.

I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap, but after one bite realized it was waaay too spicy for me and my server was great about it. She changed my lunch order to the club and brought it out super fast. Very good sandwich! Nice clean atmosphere and friendly servers. I'll be back!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience here, largely because of a super terrific server (Jordan), who's worked at this restaurant since it opened. He was very knowledgeable about the menu, and attentive and friendly. I visited Cheddar's with my elderly dad - he'd never been before so we gave it a try. The menu was very reasonable. I had the ribs and they were melt-off-the-bone tender and delicious (one of Jordan's suggestions). Dad had a steak that he liked very much - and he eats it rare so it's got to be good. Every entree offers a variety of sides, and we appreciated the variety. One thing to note is that the restaurant is very noisy - we were seated in the section to the left, which helped. If a manager is reading this, give Jordan a raise!

The customer service is behind incredible, the feel of the place is great. The food is beyond what I thought it would it be. My friend told me to go there so I did and I am so glad I did! I got the crispy chicken salad and it came with a honey butter glazed croissant and let me tell you it is so flaky and crispy and beyond Delicious!!!!!! I couldn't stop talking about this croissant for days that my friend had to take me back there a few days later just to shut me up and he got one himself to try it out and he got this huge smile on his face and I had extra honey butter in my to go box that I was literally scrapping it out of the bottom because it is that good! You have go to try this croissant. I really hope that everyone goes there based on this review because it is die to for good! I can't wait to go back and try the whole menu. I am so happy it is right around the corner from my house. The prices are very good for the taste and ultimate deliciousness of food. Well worth it every penny!!!!!

My boyfriend and friend love the location on East Bay but the two times I went, I thought the food was ok but nothing I would say "We have to come back soon!". This location has always been busy so we have been reluctant to go in, we finally found it not as packed. Ordered the triple threat and OMG! So delicious! Also, I normally follow a healthy eating style which involves counting calories and I liked that only did they have a portion of their menu dedicated to healthier meals, but they listed to calories next to it. I got the lemon pepper fish and it was soooooooo tasty! I did not miss a big fat greasy burger...that much anyways. I am a fan of places I feel I can go to and still watch my figure. I love this location and now I am a cheddar's fan.

Not into writing negative reviews, ever but if the shoe fits. We called Monday to make reservations for a large party on Tuesday, to be told they do not take reservations, but not to worry, it's a Tuesday. We arrived 30min early to let the restaurant know our large party would be there in approx 30min. After waiting for 15min the hostess informs us her manager says it will be more than an hour wait to accommodate us. Needless to say we left. A competitor down the street took us and seated us within 10minutes of arrival.

Okay I have to bump these guys down a star after my last visit. Every time I've been here the food has been awesome and the service has been at least good, if not phenomenal. This is what happened: Im a vegetarian. I told the waitress. I then proceeded to order the vegetable platter. It's actually a great deal - one bowl of soup, four sides and a honey croissant for $6.49. I ordered the potato soup, red beans & rice, 2 sides of broccoli casserole and a baked potato. Unbeknownst to me, as its NOT ON THE MENU, the red beans & rice are stuffed with sausage. Couldn't eat that. My soup came out super late and was covered in bacon. I gave it back to the waitress and she came back from the kitchen and proceeded to tell me that the soup is made with bacon. Shouldn't she have known that???! Shouldn't she have some menu training to WARN me that I was ordering meat filled items in my vegetable platter. Ugh! She then offered to get me another side so I got the green beans, which were okay. Also, my croissant never came out at all! Then the bill comes...I was still being charged the full price even though I didn't/couldn't eat half of my meal!!! On the plus side the manager did comp my meal but I was still super disappointed, especially because I was a huge Cheddars fan.

A new place, service is horrendous, food is pretty good for the price..I have to return when crowd is less..way too new to gauge pure quality overall.

I had dinner at Cheddar's, for the first time, last night. I went later in the evening in hopes of missing the large crowds at dinner time. The waiter told us that they closed at 11 on Saturday, which conflicted with their website. It wasn't an issue as we finished before 11. We were pleased with the food, atmosphere and service. It was not the best food that I have eaten, but based on the price point for this restaurant I was extremely satisfied. I will definately eat there again. The only complaint was the conflict with the hours of operation.

Went today for second time. Food is pretty strong and reasonably priced. The service is getting better but still needs to improve. Definitely worth going back.

This place is great! So many items for such a fantastically low price, and you can't beat their giant happy hour priced drinks. I had the Texas tea and it was soooo good. And their croissants taste like they came down from heaven. I am vegetarian, and you can't find a deal like their veggie plate anywhere else. Four sides, a choice of soup or salad, and a croissant for under $7! And everything was cooked to perfection... very tender and warm. To wrap up the meal, nothing is so perfect as their dessert shooters... $.99 for a few bites of sweet! I also found the service to be quite hospitable and fast. We will definitely be going back.... :)

I would say this was a pleasant place to eat with my family. It's not too noisy and the food is satisfying. Nothing special, but very consistent in food and service. I would say it's very similar to Applebees; that kind of food and drink and atmosphere. My family always gets the onion rings, and you definitely need to get them if you go here! They truly are the best. For meals, I got the baja chicken, which was spicier than I expected but still good, and came with enough beans and rice for an entire family! I really like the sweet baby carrots as a side. We also got the croissant pudding dessert, which was absolutely amazing!! The croissants are good by themselves, so made into a dessert was perfect. It does contain nuts though, so if you're allergic, beware!

Our first time here was not a great experience. It was after lunch and empty. You'd think that service would be quick and efficient without the traffic but it definitely wasn't the case. As much as I had wanted to write a review about such horrible customer service, I refrained because I wanted to return a second time and see if the next visit would be different (I ripped them a new one using their survey instead). Today, we arrived during a busy hour - great! This was the perfect opportunity to see how service fared under pressure. It sure seemed like waiters and hostesses were keeping up adequately. We were seated immediately (and accommodate for having a service animal ). Our waitress, Brienna, took our orders and soon returned with our appetizer. The cook got our main dishes wrong. Regardless of how busy it is, there needs to be better communication between server and kitchen. We were also disappointed in their iceberg lettuce - when I asked for lettuce on my burger I expect romaine. On a plus side, whoever flipped our burgers did very well; they were medium and medium-rare respectively. The spaghetti bites were also much better than last time. Overall, customer service was very fast and attentive. Even the bus boy asked if we needed anything. This experience was much better than last time, so we will return.

I asked on arrival waiting time told 10 to 15 min it was early sat evening so not too bad I waited 35 to 40 min. Finally sat down and ordered waited 20 min for oappetizer of chips and caiso how long could that take then waited another 20 min once done with that for entre. Had the lo cal chicken and shrimp the chicken came out half done which I pointed out rite away to my server it was taken away and I waited another 10 min for the new dish which was actually great. All I got was an apology and sometimes the kitchen rushes the dishes (I hope not often). I expected more but..... Last time I go there for sure. I don't mind waiting for a great meal but I draw the line on a sloppily run kitchen and wasting my time for no reason.

I was disappointed with this place. The selection of draft beers is limited. Everything tastes salty and processed to me. The portion sizes are large, but it seems like they are covering up the fact that your not getting quality. I would skip this place and go elsewhere if I were you.

WORST MEAL EVER! I typically avoid chain restaurants, however we tried this Cheddars because we were given a gift card. In fact this was the first time we've ever eaten at a Cheddars & I guarantee it was our last. I ordered the salmon dinner because the menu said it came blackened or with a Bourbon glaze. The waitress forgot to ask me how I wanted it so it was served without any seasoning (not even salt or pepper) or glaze & was completely bland & void of ANY flavor. The real issue with my salmon was that it was barely cooked. My piece of salmon was approximately 4" x 3" and was almost completely raw starting 1/2" away from the edge of the fillet - in other words, practically the entire piece was raw - I mean completely raw (it even jiggled). After making eye contact with our waitress, who decided to completely ignore us & remain at the bar & flirt with other waiters, I found the hostess & asked her to send the manager to our table. About 10 min later, a cook came to our table (not a manager) & when I showed him my uncooked salmon, proceeded to make all sort of excuses & offered to cook me something else. Of course, a simple apology would have been nice & I never got one from the cook. I didn't need to hear about how the line cooks did cook my salmon correctly (really? it was raw). I declined having them cook anything else for me, since raw fish is the way the cooks are "supposed" to cook things at this restaurant. After the waitress realized my meal was bad, she then started giving us some service (probably trying to save her tip). She never once looked or acknowledged that my husband was even at the table, which was really odd behavior. My husband ordered a sandwich, which was just ok. We will never eat at this restaurant or any Cheddars again. In fact, I joined Yelp, just so I could right this review.

I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable prices. I had the salmon and it was very cooked perfectly and flavored just right. Decent salad. Service was on spot, there when you want it and not lingering when you do not. This was my second visit here. I will definitely return and recommend for nice casual dining.

Very fresh food. Prepared with fresh ingredients. I had fried chicken. Chicken was juicy and the braiding was crisp. Croissants are freshly prepared all through the day so they melt in mouth. Strange thing that they dont keep Croissants as sides. They charge around 2-3 $ for 3. But its worth ordering.

Keep driving to the one on Roosevelt! I love Cheddars. The food is great and affordable. This one is new and I gave it two visits before reviewing. On my first visit I ordered shepard's pie. I had whole chunks of potato in the mashed potatoes and something that myself, my wife, and the waitress and manager could not identify in the pie itself. On my second visit we had two servers trying to serve us, and fighting right by us about who is supposed to be. After that, while we're still looking at the menu a server tried to bring us someone else's food, then he tried give it to two more wrong tables before going back to find out where it was going. Then they brought my wife the wrong meal, she ordered chicken and she brought fish. When the correct meal came, they forgot the dressing. Like I said at the beginning, I love Cheddars. This location is new and needs a to get more organized. For the near future I will drive a little further to the Roosevelt location.

Great food..great porrtion size. Im knocking it down a star because they don't have provolone and they have a very limited draft beer selection. ..also beer prices have gone up.

Wanted to give Cheddars a try. I ordered an iced tea that by the time it got to the table the ice had melted. I asked server to bring a cup of ice. He disappeared for what seemed like ages. I had to flag down someone else for more ice. Server also forgot to bring soup. He did apologize and brought a container of soup to go at end of meal. Two in our party ordered ribs. The two said the ribs were very good but they were never given any towelettes to wipe sticky fingers. We weren't asked if we wanted refills on our drinks. I won't be back.

I was very disappointed in the Pinellas Park location. I love this chain of restaurants, but this one is obviously new and its people need more training. The service was beyond slow and two of our 5 orders were wrong. Keep in mind, it was 7:00 on a Monday night and the restaurant was not busy at all. We were seated right away, but then it was about 10 minutes before anyone came to wait on us. Our waitress finally came and took our drink orders; by that time we were ready to order food, but she didn't offer and ran away to get our drinks before we could mention it. Once we did order our meals, it again took a really long time to get our food. One member of our party ordered a salad and requested it without pecans. Before our food came out, the waitress came and asked if there was a nut allergy because the kitchen put the pecans on the salad. She offered to remove the pecans or remake the salad to which we responded they were fine on the salad (by this time we were hungry and could pick the pecans off). The salad came out with a few pecans, but most picked off. Another member ordered an entree with two sides, when it came out it only had one side. Our waitress asked what the other side was (coleslaw) and said she'd be right back with it. By the end of the meal, she never brought it...even though she checked on our table a couple times. We then asked for a cookie monster instead, which she had to ask if she could do. She came back to check on us a couple more times, never telling up that it would take about 20 minutes to get the cookie monster because it is baked fresh. Again, we thought she forgot about us. We finally just asked her to box it for us, which took another extended time period. Overall we were at the restaurant for almost 2 hours....way to long for a simple dinner. However, the majority of the food was good, except the salmon was a little overcooked and the rice undercooked. Unfortunately, until management gets the kinks of newness worked out, we won't be going back to this location.

I've had better food at almost any other restaurant. This one opened up in Pinellas Park recently and it is always packed from noon to evening. I loved the way it looked and was very interested in trying it. We started off with the Onion Ring appetizers which were thin and greasy. I prefer them like the Outback or Red Robin's. My main course of Sheppard's Pie was less than fantastic. Not served in it's own warming plate as usual and the gravy had an odd flavor. The mini carrots were under cooked which made it seemed like pebbles in your food. My husband's steak was very stringy. But this place is pretty cheap so don't expect the best cuts anyway. Their secret 'Cheddar Sauce" is mayo mixed with mustard and it was gross. Thankfully my son ordered it on the side of his burger. When it was time for dessert, we ordered the giant cookie topped with ice cream. We asked out waitress to leave off the nuts. It's baked to order so 10 minutes later, out it comes covered in nuts! I doubt I'll be back here.

This place has one thing and only one thing going for it... decor...!!!! I went three times to this location in order to base my opinion. Each time was worse then the one before. The most recent trip I put my name in and waited nearly an hour only to be seated at the first table inside the bar area. If I wanted to sit in the bar area, I would have just walked in there to start with. The food was lack luster for the third time and the drinks were almost never attended to. The frozen drinks we ordered were melted and gross. When we mentioned it to the server she replied... "it was sitting up there for awhile but it should taste the same" Are you kidding me...!!! I had to ask twice for the drink to be taken off the bill. The food was over salted and down right cold and not edible. The only thing worth eating was the croissants. I gave this location three chances and they absolutely failed all three times... so as in baseball... this location has struck out....!!! The location on Roosevelt is worth the drive and the only Cheddars worth going to...!!!!

Visited this place 1 week ago and will not be returning any time soon. Ordered a dinner enter and the Broccoli was over cooked and the Med-Well Steak was dry as shoe leather and had no flavor. I NEVER eat steak sauce but had to use it to finish my steak. The beans in the red beans n rice side dish were not tender. The best thing on my plate was the grilled shrimp and Ginger Rice. Mgr offered to recoil the meal but I didn't feel like waiting for new food to be cooked. We didn't have these issues at the Clearwater location.

First, I got there and I was impressed with the decor and atmosphere. After I was seated, my server came to the table and took my beverage order. This was a sign of things to come. She didn't know what "Shiner Bock" was even though it is clearly shown (logo and all) in the Drink and dessert menu on the table. 8 min. later, my beer arrived and was semi-warm, as though it had been put on ice about 10 min. prior. About 7 more min. went buy and she came back to take my order. I ordered the Shepherd's Pie and the Caesar salad ($2.29 up charge). My salad came out quickly enough, but it went downhill from there. My salad was room temperature at best (it should have been cold and crisp), and "scratch made" my a**! The croutons were obviously from a bag and the dressing was certainly from a bottle. Then the Shepherd's pie came out TWO MINUTES LATER. I hadn't even gotten half way through my salad. Now comes the fun part....the "Shepherd's Pie" was not that. It was a bland sloppy joe with frozen vegetables added to it, spooned onto a plate and a dollop of mashed potatoes dropped unceremoniously on top. It was topped with undercooked, bland onion straws and the plate was decorated (on the rim) with what appeared to be some kind of seasoned salt. I just gotta say....the 80's called and they want their presentation back. All in all the food most definitely doesn't live up to the expectation that the decor presents.

Stopped in here soon after opening and was impressed by the friendly staff and servers. Food here was of impressionable quality, with entrees loaded with food for only $7-10 dollars....not bad. Great bar area and interior design is exceptional for a medium priced restaurant. Definitely a class act here.

All the food that we ordered was...OK. The decor says "better" than Chili's/Applebee's but the food does not match with the decor. But the prices do match with the food so.....

My first time at Cheddar's, I wasn't sure what to expect. I got a lovely atmosphere, extremely reasonable prices, huge drinks, and tasty lower calorie options.
